Review: Middy Reacta Wagglers

By June 14, 2019Uncategorized

The Middy Reacta Wagglers come under the beady eye of Angler’s Mail tackle editor Richard Howard. He’s the No.1 products inspector, checking out loads of quality kit every week.

Description: 4, 6 and 8 g pellet wagglers.

Specifications: AA grade, high-buoyancy balsa wood; unobtrusive, natural finish; anti-dive shoulder; interchangeable swivel base.

My verdict: ideal for catching commercial fishery carp when they are swimming up in the water, these floats have anti-dive shoulders positioned towards the bottom of their bodies, to stop them diving too deep and spooking fish.

The high-buoyancy balsa construction enables them to pop up to the surface quickly, ensuring that your bread or pellet hook bait is in perfect position in no time.

With the float trapped on the line and a pellet mounted on a hair-rigged band, the fish should hook themselves against the weight of the float.

The interchangeable screw swivel eye is a totally secure float fixing that isn’t relying on glue, confirm Middy, which is a ‘plus’, as these floats will take some ‘stick’ once the carp start coming.

Waters on most commercial fisheries are coloured, so the pale body is likely to blend in much better than darker versions.

Price: £3.99 each.
